Payward Brings Regulated Onchain Perpetual Futures to US Traders
Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, is launching onchain perpetual futures markets for U.S. clients through the Hyperliquid protocol.
The new markets will be managed by Payward subsidiaries and will utilize Hyperliquid's public blockchain to match and record trades.
Bitnomial Exchange, a designated contract market regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), will act as the market deployer and administrator.
Perpetual futures have been widely traded outside the U.S. since 2016, with global trading volume exceeding $85 trillion in 2025, according to Coingecko's 2026 State of Crypto Perpetuals Report.
