Payward Brings Regulated Perps to Hyperliquid for US Clients
Payward, the parent company of Kraken, is planning to introduce regulated perpetual futures for U.S. clients through its Hyperliquid platform.
The proposed structure will combine the public blockchain trading infrastructure of Hyperliquid with Payward's CFTC-regulated derivatives stack.
This move is subject to regulatory approval and aims to provide eligible traders in the U.S. with a new route into crypto derivatives.
Preliminary details indicate that the deployment would start with Hyperliquid's HIP-3 framework, which allows third parties to launch permissioned perpetual markets.
Regulated entities would handle customer and clearing responsibilities, while Hyperliquid's public blockchain would match and record trades.
