Payward Grants Voting Rights to Tokenized Stock Holders

Share

Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, is expanding the scope of tokenized assets by granting tokenized stock holders a say in corporate governance for the first time.

The partnership with Broadridge allows eligible investors to submit their proxy voting preferences through the system, giving them a voice in company decisions.

This move marks a significant step towards bridging the gap between traditional stocks and tokenized assets, with Payward's xStocks exceeding $25 billion in trading volume since last year.

Payward Chief Commercial Officer Mark Greenberg stated that the ultimate goal of tokenization is to give investors all the rights that come with being part of a company, not just creating fast capital markets.
