Payzum Unveils Automatic Stablecoin Conversion for Merchants

Payzum has introduced automatic stablecoin conversion for online and in-store crypto payments. Merchants can now accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Solana and keep their proceeds in USDT or USDC.

The new feature allows merchants to convert incoming payments to their chosen stablecoin without holding any of the original cryptocurrency. The conversion fee is 1% on top of Payzum's 0.5% sale fee.

This addresses a common concern for merchants who want to accept crypto but don't want to hold it, said Jose Freyre, founder of Payzum. He noted that treating web stores and point-of-sale systems as separate cases with independent settings allows merchants to manage their exposure to volatile currencies more effectively.
