The US Pentagon is quietly rewriting its nuclear strategy to prepare for potential conflicts with China and Russia. According to an exclusive NBC News report, Defense Department policy chief Elbridge Colby is drafting a classified framework that focuses on shorter-range tactical nuclear weapons.

This shift in doctrine aims to prevent a conventional conflict from escalating into a full-scale nuclear exchange and prevent either China or Russia from exploiting a moment when Washington is distracted by the other adversary.

The same adversaries driving this nuclear rethink are also pushing the US military to explore the use of Bitcoin as a live operational tool, with crypto analyst account CoinBureau noting the convergence of hard-power nuclear planning and digital-asset military integration.

US Military Bitcoin Node Tests confirmed that Admiral Samuel Paparo of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) disclosed before Congress that the military is running a live Bitcoin node and conducting operational network security tests, describing Bitcoin as a 'peer-to-peer, zero-trust transfer of value' with 'incredible potential' as a power-projection tool against China.

The US government currently holds an estimated 198,000+ BTC, making it the largest known state holder, with parallel legislation aiming to deepen that position. The Mined in America Act targets domestic Bitcoin mining hardware to reduce dependence on Chinese supply chains, which the Pentagon nuclear strategy treats as a vulnerability.
