Peter Brandt Predicts $2.16 Rally for XRP Amid Chart Pattern Analysis
Peter Brandt, a seasoned trader, has forecasted that the price of XRP could surge to $2.16, marking a 43% increase from its current level near $1.51. This prediction stems from Brandt's analysis of a potential cup-and-handle pattern, which may be part of a broader inverse head-and-shoulders structure. He emphasized that such chart patterns are not set in stone and can evolve as prices shift.
Brandt noted that XRP's right shoulder in the pattern appears poorly formed, suggesting further development before a significant move. As of October, XRP has shown resilience, holding near $1.50 despite facing resistance around $1.54 and $1.70. The asset recently experienced a rise in trading volume, coinciding with Ripple's release of one billion XRP from escrow on October 1.
One of Brandt's key concerns is the heavy supply of XRP between $2 and $3.70, which could create selling pressure as the token recovers. He compared XRP with other cryptocurrencies, favoring Monero, Solana, and Ether due to their more favorable chart structures. Monero, in particular, stands out as Brandt's top pick, having absorbed much of its overhead supply.
Despite his $2.16 target, Brandt cautioned that chart patterns are fluid and can change. His trading strategy primarily relies on price action rather than project fundamentals, except for Bitcoin. The outlook for XRP hinges on whether buyers can absorb the supply above current market levels.
