Peter Brandt Prefers Monero Solana Ethereum Over XRP Cites Technical Strength
Peter Brandt, a veteran analyst known for his critical stance on XRP, has shared new insights comparing the cryptocurrency to Monero, Solana, and Ethereum. Brandt, who previously labeled XRP as “dumb money,” now suggests that the technical charts of XMR, SOL, and ETH are more favorable than those of XRP.
The analyst pointed out that XRP’s current technical outlook suggests a potential move towards $2.16, representing a 43% increase from its current price of $1.50. Brandt identified a cup and handle pattern on XRP’s daily closing prices, which could evolve into the right shoulder of an inverse head and shoulders structure. However, he cautioned that this target is not certain and that significant selling pressure could hinder XRP’s upward movement.
Brandt highlighted oversupply as the biggest obstacle for XRP, noting that excessive supply could create new resistance areas if investors who bought at higher levels decide to sell during an uptrend. He reiterated his disinterest in XRP’s fundamental characteristics, stating that he trades based solely on price.
Among the altcoins compared, Brandt expressed a strong preference for Monero (XMR). He noted that XMR’s past supply has been largely absorbed, leading to less resistance for the price. Solana’s cup-and-handle formation was also deemed stronger than XRP’s, while Ethereum was seen as having intense volatility but less upsupply pressure. Brandt concluded that Monero was his absolute favorite among the assets he analyzed.
