Phantom Dumps Sui Support on September 24 Deadline
Phantom, a popular multichain wallet, will stop supporting the Sui blockchain on September 24, 2026. This decision marks the end of an integration that began in January 2025, when Phantom added Sui to its growing list of supported chains. At the time of launch, Phantom had around 15 million monthly active users, providing broad retail access to Sui.
The move arrives as SUI price trades near $0.83, a significant drop from its January 2025 record of $5.36. According to DeFiLlama data, Sui's total value locked has fallen to approximately $470 million, well below the over $2 billion recorded around Phantom's initial Sui rollout.
Users have been given two main options: convert SUI into wrapped SUI on Solana without a Phantom fee or swap into SOL, ETH, or USDC with no added Phantom fee. Alternatively, holders can migrate their SUI to another compatible wallet or import their recovery phrase into Slush, which the Sui Foundation recommends.
The Sui community is watching as the token's price sits near the key $0.87 level, a potential breakout point for a bullish setup. A confirmed move above this level could strengthen short-term momentum, while failure to hold nearby support could keep price action under pressure.
