Pharos Raises $52 Million to Boost Real-World Asset Adoption
Pharos, a blockchain platform focused on real-world assets (RWAs), has secured $52 million in funding and claims a global community of 1.5 million. The company is exploring the next phase of onchain finance, focusing on distribution, liquidity, and AI agents to make RWAs more accessible and useful. CEO Wish Wu emphasized the need for assets to flow within the ecosystem rather than remain static, highlighting the importance of connecting issuance with markets and applications.
Wu, who previously served as chief security officer at Ant Group’s Web3 business, ZAN, brings institutional expertise to Pharos. The platform aims to help asset issuers not just tokenize their assets but also distribute them effectively. Pharos has built credibility with institutions across the Asia-Pacific region, leveraging its experience to establish strong relationships with issuers and DeFi applications.
The company raised $44 million in a Series A round in April 2026, following an $8 million seed round in November 2024. Investors include Lightspeed Faction, Hack VC, Sumitomo Corporation’s subsidiary SNZ, and Flow Traders. This funding supports Pharos’ efforts to build infrastructure that connects traditional issuers with onchain finance. As of October 5, Pharos reported $76.8 million in DeFi total value locked, $133.1 million in active RWAs under management, and $12 million in stablecoin market capitalization.
Pharos launched its Pacific Ocean Mainnet on April 28, 2026, with its pAlpha High Yield RWA Vault attracting over $15 million in initial commitments, quickly reaching its $50 million capacity. The company is also investing in developer support through its $10 million-plus Native to Pharos incubator. Additionally, Pharos is integrating AI agents to help users navigate the expanding financial ecosystem, positioning the platform as an agent-native layer 1 infrastructure.
