According to a recent report, the SEC, along with other government agencies such as the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), are working together to crack down on these types of scams.
The SEC has warned investors about the risks associated with investing in cryptocurrencies and urged them to be cautious when dealing with unregistered investment schemes. In a statement, the SEC noted that it is committed to protecting investors and ensuring that those responsible for scams are held accountable.

The NBI and PNP also have dedicated units for investigating cybercrime, including those related to cryptocurrencies.
