Pi Network's Protocol 26 Upgrade Deadline Looms as PI Token Shows Signs of Recovery
The Pi Network is set to undergo its Protocol 26 upgrade on August 11, with node operators required to complete the update by then or risk losing network connectivity.
Ahead of the upgrade, the PI token has shown signs of recovery, rising over 12% in the past week. However, traders are cautious about a potential supply shock as around 128 million PI tokens are expected to unlock in August, followed by another 132.7 million in September.
The Protocol 26 upgrade is more than just a routine software update, and is seen as a crucial step towards bringing the Pi Network's blockchain up to date with newer protocol features.
