Pi Token Crashes 14% After Protocol v27 Upgrade: Will It Recover?

The Pi Network's native token PI dropped nearly 14% to around $0.0808 following the launch of Protocol v27 upgrade on September 15.

This sharp sell-off added to concerns about PI, which is now about 97.2% below its all-time high price.

Despite bringing new features such as flexible smart contract authentication and infrastructure for automated market maker (AMM) liquidity pools, the token's price fell after traders who bought ahead of the upgrade sold off their shares following the event.
