Pi Token Crashes 14% After v27 Upgrade on Mainnet

Share

Pi Network's native token PI has dropped nearly 14% to around $0.0808 following the launch of Protocol v27 upgrade.

The sharp sell-off has added to concerns around PI, which is about 97.2% below its all-time high price.

The update, one of the network's major technical upgrades, adds new tools for smart contracts, decentralized apps, and future DeFi use.

Protocol v27 brings more flexible smart contract authentication, giving apps and accounts new ways to approve transactions.

It also adds the infrastructure needed for automated market maker (AMM) liquidity pools and Pi's planned decentralized exchange.
