Plasma (XPL) Soars 24% Ahead of Massive Token Unlock

The cryptocurrency Plasma (XPL) has experienced a significant price surge of 24.18% in a single day, driven by investors positioning themselves ahead of a large token unlock event.

The unlock, which saw around 1.76 billion XPL valued at $160 million being released into circulation, represents approximately 63.2% of the total circulating supply.

This development was accompanied by another significant transaction, where the Plasma Team moved 300 million XPL worth $33.07 million to an unknown new wallet, further adding to the uncertainty surrounding the unlock event.

Despite this complexity, market participants appeared to be positioning themselves for a potential price increase, with derivatives trading volume increasing by 182.78% to $744.47 million during the trading session.
