Polkadot Surpasses Decentralization Records as Price Dips Below Key Support Zone
Polkadot has achieved a new milestone in decentralization, surpassing TON Blockchain and Avalanche with a record-high Nakamoto Coefficient of 178. This measure indicates how many independent actors would need to collaborate to attack the network.
The Polkadot team has also confirmed that Parachain functionality will be migrated to JAM (Join-Accumulate Machine), the next-generation execution environment, with production targeted for 2027. This move is expected to reduce reliance on Relay Chain services and improve overall efficiency.
Despite these positive developments, Polkadot's price has been experiencing a downturn, currently trading at $0.94895 after a 4% drop in the past 24 hours. Technical analysis suggests that the chart is still within a descending channel, with EMA levels acting as resistance.
The support zone near $0.90052 holds significant importance, and losing it could undermine the bullish narrative. Analysts believe that reclaiming the EMA cluster at $0.99305 to $1.01153 would be a crucial step towards reaching higher price targets.
