Polosukhin Proposes AI Pets, Private Trading, and Cross-Chain Payments on NEAR
NEAR co-founder Illia Polosukhin has proposed an array of application ideas for the NEAR platform, including AI pets, private trading, and cross-chain payments. According to his Oct. 3 X post, development on NEAR has become easier in recent weeks, but product selection and distribution remain key challenges for developers.
Polosukhin outlined a range of payment ideas, including a universal checkout widget that would allow customers to pay through NEAR Intents using their existing wallet and blockchain. He also proposed an event registration system that would hold attendees' deposits in escrow until the host checks them in.
The co-founder also suggested several private applications, such as trading, code reviews, medical second opinions, transcription, and AI testing. He emphasized the importance of distribution channels, recommending that developers engage with NEARLegion, other communities, Product Hunt, and X to promote their products.
Polosukhin's proposals build on existing infrastructure, including staking-based AI payments and the introduction of settlement infrastructure for AI agents handling activities such as payments and swaps. The co-founder emphasized the potential for AI to transform various industries, including healthcare and finance.
