Polygon Co-Founder Unveils Plan to Burn 25 Million POL Tokens

Polygon's co-founder has announced that an additional 25 million POL tokens will be burned, bringing the total to 40 million. This move is part of the project's ongoing efforts to reduce its token supply and increase the value of each token.

The burn process is expected to further improve Polygon's proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus algorithm, which is set to reach a confirmation time of just 1 millisecond. This represents a significant improvement over current timescales and will enable faster transaction processing for users on the network.
