Polygon Launches Onchain Euro-Dollar Exchange Through EURe/FrxUSD Pool

Monerium, Frax, and Capa have collaborated to create a direct route for onchain euro-dollar exchange on Polygon. This integration enables users to convert euros into dollars within the same network as their transfer, streamlining currency exchange.

The EURe/frxUSD pool on Polygon combines Monerium's regulated euro token with Frax's fully collateralized stablecoin, backed by cash-equivalent reserves. Capa provides liquidity and real payment flows to support this exchange.

Monerium customers can send euros through SEPA to their named EUR IBAN, which is then converted into EURe. They can then exchange EURe for frxUSD through the pool on Uniswap v3.

Polygon's low network fees and fast finality make this integration practical for smaller, frequent currency exchanges. This opens up new opportunities for payment and treasury apps to use FX as part of everyday money movement.
