Polygon Labs has expanded its Polygon Open Money Stack to support the TRON network, enabling fintechs and remittance providers to move USDT on TRON directly to and from U.S. bank accounts. Announced on October 7, 2026, this integration allows businesses to connect bank funds into TRON’s stablecoin economy, which boasts over $94 billion in circulating USDT and $30 trillion in total transfer volume.
The expansion simplifies the process for businesses by consolidating licensing, sponsor banks, wallet providers, and cross-chain routing infrastructure into a single integration. Dollars can enter through regulated on-ramps via bank transfer, debit card, or cash, move into virtual accounts, and settle on-chain under business-defined rules. The same integration routes funds across supported blockchains and facilitates payouts through supported payment rails.
TRON, known for its heavy usage in moving digital dollars, particularly in markets relying on USDT for retail payments and cross-border transfers, now allows businesses to serve customers across both TRON and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) networks through a shared infrastructure layer. Polygon has processed over $3 trillion in payments volume, and this addition connects major on-chain payments ecosystems, providing businesses with additional infrastructure for moving funds between blockchain networks and traditional financial rails.
Marc Boiron, CEO of Polygon Labs, emphasized that the integration brings TRON’s deep USDT liquidity into the same framework, allowing businesses to move those dollars onto U.S. banking rails or across chains with pre-handled licensing and orchestration. Justin Sun, Founder of TRON, highlighted that stablecoins are becoming essential infrastructure for real-world financial activities, and this connection makes it easier for businesses to build payment products that bridge on-chain liquidity with traditional financial rails.
