Polygon's 100M Token Burn Sets Stage for Remittix RTX Launch
Polygon has recently undergone a significant development with the permanent burn of 100 million POL tokens. This action removed approximately 1% of the original 10 billion-token base from economic circulation, making token supply part of the network's price conversation once again.
This move comes at a time when investors are revisiting chains used for payments and applications, with Polygon serving as a prominent infrastructure provider for developers and applications. The burn record identifies a September 23 transaction settling 100 million POL to a burn address, effectively taking tokens out of economic circulation.
The effects of the burn on Polygon's price will be closely monitored by investors, particularly in relation to its trading activity around $0.11 during the late-September rebound. Holding between $0.10 and $0.115 could support a near-term path toward $0.13, while losing below $0.09 would weaken that forecast.
Meanwhile, Remittix is preparing for its RTX token market debut on November 24 after opening access to its PayFi platform for 1,000 users. The project aims to provide a practical bank-payment product, which could bring new people into the ecosystem and potentially drive demand for RTX tokens.
