Pons Crypto Launchpad Sets Daily Fees Record on Robinhood Chain
Pons, a cryptocurrency launchpad, has been making waves in the crypto world. In just under a quarter, it has generated $11.4 million in fees on September 5 alone, surpassing all other launchpads in terms of daily fees since August 29.
This rapid success can be attributed to its operation on the Robinhood Chain, which launched recently in early July. As Pons becomes the largest and busiest launchpad in the ecosystem, it benefits from the growth potential of the network it runs on.
What's unique about Pons is that it enables users to deploy new tokens on Robinhood Chain for a fee of around $1, with over 255,000 coins launched so far. The platform also takes a slice of fees from every trade, potentially benefiting from successful tokens in the long term.
A significant aspect of Pons' model is that it 'burns' nearly a third of its supply by purchasing and destroying tokens on the open market, which has resulted in 288 million tokens being taken out of circulation as of September 3. This scarcity can support the value of holding Pons as an investment.
However, there's a catch: Robinhood Chain is subsidizing demand to attract users and capital, with network transaction fees covered for wallet users until September 29. When this subsidy ends, speculation in crypto may become costlier, potentially affecting launch volume and fees for Pons.
