Porsche Shuts Down Web3 Project and PIONΞERS CIRCLE Community
Porsche has officially closed its Web3 project and PIONΞERS CIRCLE community after less than four years of operation. The German automaker launched its non-fungible token (NFT) collection based on the 911 model in January 2023, initially planning to offer 7,500 tokens. However, due to user complaints about pricing and lack of utility, the minting process was halted, resulting in a final supply of just 2,363 units.
The project had evolved beyond its initial technological focus to incorporate community events and both online and in-person activities. Despite this, Porsche has decided to conclude the Web3 project and PIONΞERS CIRCLE. The 911 model NFTs will remain in the hands of their holders and continue to exist on the blockchain.
The community's Discord server will switch to read-only mode, and the project's official X account will no longer be updated. According to OpenSea data, the all-time trading volume reached approximately $20 million, although it barely registered around $2,900 over the past month.
