Porsche's ambitious Web3 project has come to an end after nearly four years. The automaker announced it will wind down its Web3 initiative, including the 'Pioneers Circle' community launched alongside its Porsche 911 NFT collection.

The company confirmed that the NFTs themselves will remain with holders and continue to exist onchain. However, it plans to convert its Discord server into a read-only archive and stop actively updating its X account for the project.

The Web3 initiative began as a technology-focused experiment but grew into community-led activities, including online and offline events. Porsche initially planned to have a supply of 7,500 tokens, but minting halted early due to complaints about pricing and perceived lack of utility, leaving only 2,363 tokens minted.
