Crypto venture capital funding is concentrated in certain sectors, particularly Prediction Markets and Exchanges, according to a recent report by CryptoRank Research. The average investment size in Prediction Markets stands at $118M per round, more than 50% higher than the Exchange category's average of $76.2M.

Median investment size provides a clearer view of funding environments within each category, with Exchanges ranking first and Brokerage second. Both categories have consistently large rounds, suggesting trading infrastructure continues to attract larger funding commitments.

The data suggests that investors favor business models with clearer revenue paths, resulting in smaller funding rounds for emerging sectors. Prediction Markets lead in average investment size due to exceptionally large funding rounds, while Exchanges have a high level of funding across all deals.
