Pro-Crypto PAC Fairshake Backs 32 Lawmakers With Millions in Midterm Support
Fairshake, a pro-cryptocurrency super political action committee (PAC), has unveiled its financial backing plan for over two dozen lawmakers ahead of the midterm elections. The group will support 19 Republicans and 13 Democrats, with six members receiving $1 million each. All 32 lawmakers supported The Clarity Act, a legislative priority for the crypto industry that failed to pass the Senate.
Fairshake plans to give $1 million each to Democratic Reps. Janelle Bynum of Oregon, Steven Horsford of Nevada, and Derek Tran of California, as well as Republican Majority Whip Tom Emmer and Rep. French Hill of Arkansas. Republican Reps. Bryan Steil of Wisconsin and Bill Huizenga of Michigan will also receive $1 million each. All are members of the House Financial Services Committee, which oversees crypto policy.
The super PAC aims to support pro-crypto candidates from both parties, stating that it is an issue-focused organization. As of August 31, Fairshake had spent over $93.8 million in total disbursements and $13.26 million on independent expenditures. It ended August with more than $120 million in cash on hand.
The crypto industry has poured at least $206 million into super PACs and hybrid PACs in the 2026 election cycle to support pro-crypto candidates, especially those backing The Clarity Act. Fairshake is primarily funded by crypto companies including Coinbase and venture capitalist firm Andreessen Horowitz.
