PS Plus September Lineup: Leaks, Predictions, and Release Dates
With September approaching, PlayStation Plus subscribers are eagerly awaiting the next lineup of free games. According to tradition, Sony typically reveals the upcoming PS Plus Essential lineup on the last Wednesday of the month and releases the new games on the first Tuesday of the coming month.
This means that September's PS Plus Essential games will be announced on August 26 and go live on September 1, with Extra and Premium titles revealed on September 9 and dropping on September 15. In contrast, August's Dying Light 2, Big Walk, and Signalis will expire on August 31.
There have been no reliable leaks for September's PS Plus lineup so far, but if one arrives, it'll likely come from billbil-kun at Dealabs, who has been the most accurate PS Plus leaker. Previous years' lineups show that there is no coherent theme to the games chosen.
My three predictions for September's PS Plus lineup are Spider-Man 2, Trine 5, and Stellar Blade. The first two titles would be a great pairing with the release of the new Wolverine game in September, while Stellar Blade would drive hype for its sequel, Blood Rain.
