PSV Eindhoven Secures Filip Kostić with Two-Year Contract Extension

PSV Eindhoven has made a significant move in the transfer market by signing free agent Filip Kostić on a deal that runs until June 2028. The 33-year-old Serbian winger will undergo a medical examination on Wednesday to finalize the contract, which marks his return to Dutch football after previously playing for FC Groningen.

Kostić became available after Juventus opted not to renew his contract, which expired on June 30, 2026. PSV quickly moved to secure Kostić's services, with reports emerging in late July 2026 that the club was interested in signing him. By early August, PSV had accelerated their efforts and were close to finalizing a deal.

The Dutch media reported that AEK Athens had tabled a two-year offer for Kostić, creating a competitive dynamic that forced PSV to act decisively. The contract length of nearly two full seasons at the Philips Stadion is also notable, given Kostić's age and upcoming birthday in November.
