Pump.fun Surpasses Hyperliquid in Weekly Revenue for First Time
Pump.fun, a Solana-based memecoin launchpad, has surpassed Hyperliquid in weekly revenue for the first time. According to DeFiLlama data, Pump.fun generated more than $10 million in protocol fees during the week of August 3-9, 2026.
This marks a significant milestone for the platform, which also posted a 7-day revenue of roughly $12 million as of mid-August. This puts it third among all tracked protocols, behind only stablecoin giants Tether and Circle.
The numbers show that Pump.fun has been gaining ground on Hyperliquid, with its 30-day revenue for August 2026 reaching $35.67 million compared to Hyperliquid's $32.46 million over the same window. The platform's daily revenue also outpaced Hyperliquid's, earning $1.21 million on July 23 versus Hyperliquid's $1.03 million.
Pump.fun co-founder Sapijiju pointed to July 23 as a clear benchmark for the platform's growth, highlighting its ability to generate substantial fee revenue during speculative trading surges. The platform's strength lies in its retail base, which generates high-frequency, low-to-mid ticket transactions that aggregate into significant fee revenue.
The buyback and burn program also creates a direct link between platform revenue and token value for PUMP token holders, making Pump.fun's fee performance a more relevant data point than it might be for other protocols. Since its 2024 launch, the platform has now generated over $1.2 billion in cumulative revenue.
