Pump.fun Treasury Hits $2.8 Billion Dominated by PUMP Token
Pump.fun, the Solana-based memecoin launchpad, holds a substantial $2.8 billion in on-chain assets as of October 6, 2026. The majority of these assets, approximately $2.19 billion, are in the form of the platform's native PUMP token, which amounts to about 341.224 billion tokens.
The treasury also includes significant holdings of wrapped SOL (WSOL), valued at around $336 million, and 450.5K SOL in unwrapped form, worth about $54 million. Additionally, the platform holds 168.7 million USDC, worth $169 million, and 46 million USDT, worth $46 million. Smaller positions in various memecoins round out the remainder.
Pump.fun operates a buyback-and-burn program, funded by 50% of its net revenue. By late September 2026, cumulative buybacks had exceeded $460 million, with over 167 billion PUMP tokens removed from circulation. In July 2026, 57.28 billion PUMP tokens were distributed to 121 wallets as part of post-cliff linear vesting for team members and investors.
The platform launched in July 2025 through an initial coin offering that raised about $1 billion, pricing the token at a fully diluted valuation of around $4 billion. Cumulative decentralized exchange volume on pump.fun exceeds $97 billion, with annualized revenue reported in the hundreds of millions, funding the buyback program.
The value of the PUMP treasury stake is harder to assess, as it depends on market demand. The stablecoin and SOL holdings represent the liquid side of the ledger, which can be spent or deployed without constraints. The July 2026 distribution marked the start of linear unlocks, meaning more insider tokens could reach the market over time.
