Pyth Network Price Surges 14% on Strong Market Activity and Staking Growth
Pyth Network's price surged by about 14% in the past day as investors poured more capital into the market. The gain is attributed to a combination of factors, including strong performance in Spot and Perpetual markets, as well as growing Staking activities.
The Open Interest (OI) Weighted Funding Rate on the Perpetual side has a reading of roughly 0.0056%, indicating that bulls are dominating in terms of positioning for an upside. The Perpetual market Open Interest surged over 10% to $57 million, according to CoinGlass.
Staking activity reached a yearly high of $92.76 million, a level last seen on January 15, 2026. This growth in staking supports the asset's overall performance and adds to demand as less of the asset circulates.
The liquidation gap between long and short positions remains narrow, which puts the asset's rally under question. Typically, there are more liquidated short positions than long positions in a bullish market.
