Pyth Network Surges on Real Vision Spotlight and Oracle Sector Shift
The price of Pyth Network (PYTH) surged 3.56% in just over 28 hours, thanks to a combination of factors.
One key driver was a 'Trade of the Week' call from Real Vision, which explicitly recommended going long on PYTH. The call highlighted three key points: Pyth's data business is generating $10.4 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), with over 3,500 data feeds spanning various markets; the token mechanics include an active buyback that sends a share of protocol revenue to the token, directly tying growing revenue to token demand; and there are 'no major unlocks' until next May, reducing near-term dilution fears.
The Real Vision call was a strong catalyst for incremental demand in PYTH. The broader crypto market remained roughly flat over the same period, making this a significant asset-specific move.
Another factor driving the price increase was the shutdown of competitor Switchboard and the subsequent re-pricing of the oracle sector. Pyth has been positioned as one of the dominant first-party oracles, with investors translating recent business metrics and sector shifts into future revenue and governance value.
