Q3 Sees Record Bitcoin ETF Inflows Before Soft Landing
The third quarter of 2026 saw significant inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), with net inflows totaling $6.34 billion, according to SoSoValue data cited by Cointelegraph.
This marked the strongest quarter of the year for Bitcoin ETFs, which reversed roughly $5 billion in second-quarter net outflows and benefited from a 42.71% increase in Bitcoin's value over the period, per CoinGlass.
The funds attracted significant inflows throughout Q3, with $2.65 billion entering in September, $3.52 billion in August, and $172 million in July. However, the quarter ended on a softer note, with combined net outflows of $148.7 million on September 30.
Fidelity's FBTC led outflows with $125.6 million, followed by Bitwise's BITB at $13.6 million and BlackRock's IBIT at $9.5 million, ending its nine-day streak of inflows that brought in about $1.6 billion.
