Quant Price Surges to Four-Month High as ECB Proposal Boosts Demand
Quant [QNT] has broken through its multi-month descending trendline and is trading at a four-month high of $76. This price surge, which represents a 13% increase in value over the past day, has been driven by both market optimism and a specific factor related to the coin itself.
The European Central Bank's (ECB) proposal to remove restrictions on stablecoin issuers has put Quant back in focus for investors. The ECB and 27 EU central banks have called for the removal of MiCA regulation, which currently requires major stablecoin issuers to hold 60% of their reserves in deposits at commercial banks.
This shift in policy has led to increased demand for QNT, with investors repositioning across the market. Data from CoinGlass shows that Spot Netflow has fallen significantly, suggesting that investors have pulled a large amount of supply off exchanges. Meanwhile, Open Interest (OI) has risen 20% to $17 million, backed by a 63% jump in derivatives volume.
The Directional Movement Oscillator (DIOSC) and Relative Strength Index (RSI) both indicate an upward trend for Quant, with the RSI holding above 70. If the prevailing sentiment holds, QNT could attempt to flip $80, with $85 as a medium-term target.
