Quant's 9% Price Drop Seen as Normal Correction After Leveraged Rally
Quant (QNT) suffered a sharp 9% drop in value over the last 25 hours, but analysts attribute this to a normal correction after a leveraged rally rather than any negative news about the project itself.
The drop is seen as a result of the extreme rally that QNT experienced in the past two weeks, which was driven by institutional tokenization news. QNT's price surged from $60 to over $300, with some reports describing it as up 130-300% over one to two weeks.
The addition of high leverage QNT products on multiple exchanges, including 20-50x perpetual futures and 3x ETFs, amplified both the upside and the subsequent downside. As traders began to derisk, the price compresses from an overheated level, leading to the sharp pullback.
