Quantum Blockchain Advances AI Mining, Secures US Patent Nod
Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC (GB:QBT) has made significant strides in its AI-driven Bitcoin mining tools, advancing its Method C and unveiling a new chaos-mathematics-based variant, Method B. The company also resumed quantum computing research on SHA-256.
The interim results for the six months to 30 June 2026 show a shift from lab validation to live testing with an ASIC partner, indicating improved performance versus conventional mining. Patent protection has progressed, with the group securing a US Notice of Allowance for its ASIC UltraBoost technology, reinforcing its licensing prospects with chipmakers.
QBT's balance sheet has been strengthened through equity placings and bond maturity extensions, while it continues to monetize legacy Italian legal claims. The company has also launched virtual mining subsidiary BlocKeeper Plc to build hash rate via contracts.
