Quantum Solutions Sells More Ethereum to Fuel AI Data Center Expansion
Japan's largest publicly listed Ethereum treasury company, Quantum Solutions, has continued its shift from crypto accumulation to artificial intelligence infrastructure. In a recent transaction on July 30, the company sold another 1,000 Ethereum (ETH) worth approximately $1.9 million through its Hong Kong subsidiary, GPT Pals Studio.
The sale was executed at an average price of about $1,903 per ETH, resulting in a loss of roughly $100,000 for Quantum. The proceeds from the transaction will be used to purchase Nvidia B300 and GB300 GPU systems, which are expected to power a new AI data center in Japan.
Quantum's decision to sell its Ethereum holdings is part of a larger strategy to convert its crypto treasury into high-performance AI computing hardware. The company has increased its authorized sales limit to 4,375 ETH through October 30, indicating that additional sales are possible.
