Quigley Slams Wall Street's Crypto Invasion: 'Greed' Drives New ETF Surge
Tether Co-Founder William Quigley has expressed his reservations about the growing involvement of Wall Street in the cryptocurrency market. Speaking to Decrypt, he warned that Wall Street's relentless pursuit of profit will lead to an influx of new ETFs, including potential installations for Solana and Cardano.
Quigley claims that Wall Street's 'greed' is driving this trend, with companies eager to package and sell new products to consumers. He noted that if a product is successful, there will be copycats, and if it fails, the market will move on.
The Tether co-founder also expressed concerns about the potential risks of Wall Street investors pulling out in times of downturn, which could be unpredictable for the crypto market. Quigley stated, 'I was happy with crypto without Wall Street.'
