Rango Expands Cross-Chain Capabilities with BOB Gateway Integration
Rango has expanded its cross-chain capabilities by integrating BOB Gateway into its routing engine. This integration brings native Bitcoin swaps to Rango's broader ecosystem, allowing users to swap BTC for stablecoins, wrapped Bitcoin assets, and tokenized gold without the need for a custodian.
The integration of BOB Gateway allows professional liquidity providers to quote swap rates using an intent-based model. This means that users can access native BTC routing across Rango's supported wallets and apps using its API, spanning over 80 chains and 150 DEX and bridge protocols.
Rango's CEO did not comment on this development directly, but the integration is already live, and the next measure of impact will be how widely users and developers adopt the new BTC routes across Rango-powered products. The key test will be whether the added routing depth improves execution and expands native Bitcoin cross-chain activity.
