RBC Boosts Stake in Bitcoin-Focused Strategy Amid Institutional Interest
The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Canada's largest bank, has increased its holdings in Strategy, a prominent Bitcoin treasury company. According to data from BitcoinTreasuries.net, RBC acquired an additional 46,001 shares of Strategy (ticker: MSTR) valued at approximately $4.45 million.
This latest purchase brings RBC's total position to 385,002 shares worth roughly $37.2 million. It follows the bank's earlier expansion in the first quarter of this year when it added 295,829 MSTR shares, lifting its stake to 339,001 shares.
Strategy has become one of the largest corporate holders of Bitcoin, using its treasury funds to accumulate the cryptocurrency. RBC's investment in MSTR allows the bank to gain indirect exposure to Bitcoin's price movements without directly holding the digital asset.
