RBI, Bitpanda Expand Crypto Partnership Across CEE
Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) and Bitpanda have expanded their partnership to offer digital-asset services across Central and Eastern Europe. The agreement, announced on September 23, 2026, will see Bitpanda Enterprise provide the infrastructure for RBI's network banks.
The framework builds on a model already used by Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich-Wien, which launched Bitpanda-powered crypto access within its existing banking environment in 2024. The new arrangement is an extension of this bank-integrated approach, rather than a newly announced model without an existing deployment.
Under the agreement, Bitpanda Enterprise will provide the behind-the-scenes service, while RBI's local banks retain the customer-facing role in markets where they elect to proceed. This means that customers in different RBI markets may receive different access, timetables, and product ranges.
The expansion is expected to reach approximately 18 million customers across RBI's 11 Central and Eastern European markets, with roughly 1,300 branches serving these customers.
