Real-World Assets Tokens Gain Traction Amid Blockchain Expansion
The world of Real-World Assets (RWA) tokens is gaining traction in 2026, as blockchain projects expand into tokenized securities, commodities, funds, and institutional finance.
According to CoinMarketCap's Real World Assets Protocols category, which ranks tokens by market capitalization rather than adoption, several networks are showing significant activity. Chainlink has partnered with Wyoming's Frontier Stable Token (FRNT), publishing verified reserve data on-chain in near real-time.
Stellar is another network providing a platform for tokenized funds, with its distributed asset value rising 3.05% over the past 30 days. RWA transfers reached $558.28 million during that period, increasing by 35.03%. The network's platform table listed Spiko at $1.7 billion and Franklin Templeton's Benji platform at $512.4 million.
Avalanche recorded $1.82 billion in distributed assets, up 8.62% over 30 days, but RWA transfer volume fell 74.75% to $83.58 million. The data show that asset balances and transaction activity moved in different directions.
