RealFi USDrf Launches Stablecoin Protocol on Cardano
RealFi USDrf is a stablecoin protocol built on the Cardano blockchain, designed to bridge on-chain capital with real-world credit markets. The protocol issues two tokens: USDrf, a USD-pegged stablecoin for payments, trading, and liquidity, and sUSDrf, the staked version that earns yield from the reserve portfolio.
USDrf is fully backed by a diversified reserve, including U.S. Treasury bills, tokenized government money market funds, and investment-grade credit assets. The reserve structure ensures liquidity for redemptions without selling private assets. Whitelisted institutions can mint and redeem USDrf directly, while other users trade it on decentralized exchanges.
The protocol is backed by Input Output Global (IOG), the engineering firm behind Cardano, and launched on the Cardano mainnet on 1 October 2026. An Ethereum deployment is planned for the future. USDrf and sUSDrf are issued by British Virgin Islands-based companies, with governance handled by the RealFi Foundation in the Cayman Islands.
RealFi products are not available in restricted jurisdictions like the United States, European Union, or the United Kingdom. USDrf is not insured and carries risks, including potential loss of principal.
