RedotPay Delays US IPO Amid Regulatory Hurdles and Binance Dispute
RedotPay, a Hong Kong-based fintech firm, has delayed its US initial public offering (IPO) plans due to regulatory hurdles and a legal dispute. The company had been targeting a US IPO this year that could raise over $1 billion and value it at more than $4 billion.
The delay comes after Binance affiliates sued RedotPay's founders, alleging they diverted hundreds of thousands of customers to a competing product. The plaintiffs are seeking nearly $500 million in losses.
Despite the challenges, RedotPay claims its business is expanding, with over 8 million users in more than 100 countries and recent record highs in users, revenue, profit, and margins.
