Reform MP Faces Laughter Over Claim Crypto Billionaires Got 'Nothing' For £72 Million Donation
Reform leader Nigel Farage expressed gratitude for two large donations from crypto billionaires Ben Delo and Christopher Harborne, each giving £36m to the party last weekend. However, when questioned about the potential benefits of these donations on a recent episode of BBC Question Time, Reform MP Danny Kruger sparked laughter from the audience.
Kruger insisted that Delo and Harborne would receive 'nothing' in return for their contributions, stating 'they're not getting anything for it. There's absolutely nothing in it for them.' This claim seemed incredulous to many in attendance, who responded with laughter.
The Reform party has been accused of planning to provide tax breaks worth hundreds of millions of pounds for crypto investors if they win the next election. Farage previously praised Delo and Harborne, saying 'thanks to their generosity, we are now able to fight that election on a level playing field.'
