Reform UK Lands Record-Breaking £72 Million Crypto Donations

Share

Crypto-billionaires Christopher Harborne and Ben Delo have donated £72 million to Reform UK, the party led by Nigel Farage. The donations are the largest in British political history and amount to three-quarters of the money spent at the 2024 general election by all parties combined.

The party claims that both men want 'nothing' in return for their gifts, which include a peerage or government contract if Reform comes to power.

Reform UK's largest donor, Harborne, has given £36 million, and Delo also donated the same amount. Both men have been involved in controversy surrounding their donations, with Harborne facing an investigation into his failure to declare a separate gift of £5 million to Farage personally.

Farage said that the money would be used 'for one purpose only: to make certain we are ready to form a government at the next election'. The party plans to fund 'the best research and policy department British politics has ever seen' and recruit 'the best minds in every area', according to Farage.
