U.S.-listed spot crypto ETFs continued their streak of net inflows at the start of the week, reflecting persistent institutional demand despite ongoing policy uncertainty. On Tuesday ET, spot Bitcoin (BTC) ETFs recorded $244.4 million in net inflows, while spot Ethereum (ETH) ETFs added another $60.8 million.

Combined, these two categories attracted a total of $305.2 million in one session, according to data cited by BlockBeats. This influx underscores the growing preference among asset managers and allocators for regulated wrappers that increase crypto exposure.

The inflow dynamics arrive as traditional payment networks and stablecoin infrastructure providers accelerate consolidation. Mastercard has completed its acquisition of stablecoin payments firm BVNK in an $1.8 billion deal, marking another signal that major incumbents are positioning for a future where stablecoins function as programmable cash legs across cross-border payments.

Regulatory coordination is evolving in parallel, with the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the U.K. Treasury releasing a joint statement on Monday ET summarizing the outcomes of the 13th U.S.-U.K. Financial Regulatory Working Group (FRWG) meeting held in London on July 8.

The FRWG meeting covered topics such as stablecoin regulation, tokenization, and cross-border payments, with authorities attempting to converge on supervisory outcomes while still tailoring requirements to domestic legal frameworks.
