Regulatory Compliance Drives USDG Stablecoin to $929M in DeFi Deposits
USDG, a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Paxos and regulated by Singapore's Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), has reached $929.2 million in decentralized finance (DeFi) deposits.
This represents roughly one-third of USDG's circulating supply, which stands at approximately $3 billion.
USDG's growth is significant because it comes at a time when DeFi platforms are increasingly integrating regulated digital assets to mitigate regulatory risks.
The stablecoin's presence in lending protocols, liquidity pools, and yield strategies highlights its utility beyond simple value transfer.
