Remittix Enters PayFi Market with Focused Payments Rollout
A new cryptocurrency has emerged as a potential competitor to Solana and Cardano, two established blockchain assets. Remittix, a PayFi project, is focused on enabling users to send supported cryptocurrencies and receive fiat payouts in a compatible bank account. Its first 1,000 users are testing the PayFi app, which connects supported cryptocurrencies with fiat payouts through compatible banking rails across more than 30 target currencies.
Remittix is not attempting to replace Solana or Cardano's general-purpose role, but rather to simplify one transaction that a user may need regardless of which cryptocurrency they originally held. The project has raised over $32 million from over 40,000 participants toward a $36 million hard cap, with a planned final presale tier of $0.46. Remittix's RTX token is scheduled to debut on November 24.
While Solana and Cardano have years of market history behind them, Remittix is at the beginning of a focused payments rollout in a market measured in hundreds of billions of dollars of annual cross-border transfers. The appeal of Remittix lies in its chance to study a working product journey while a potentially much larger customer base has yet to arrive.
