Remittix Tests Crypto-to-Fiat Service with USDT and USDC Support
Remittix is testing a new service that converts stablecoins like USDT into fiat currencies, addressing a key gap in the crypto payments ecosystem. The project has invited 1,000 existing holders to trial its PayFi service, which aims to deliver EUR and USD directly to compatible bank accounts. This initiative is part of Remittix’s broader goal to integrate crypto storage, trading, and fiat payouts into a single app, potentially expanding its customer base beyond token holders.
USDT, the widely used stablecoin, plays a crucial role in international payments but lacks seamless conversion to local fiat. Remittix’s PayFi service is designed to bridge this gap, enabling users to receive stablecoins and convert them into bank-ready funds. The service could be particularly useful for freelancers and small businesses that rely on cross-border payments, with the World Bank estimating global remittances at $856 billion in 2024.
Remittix has already seen significant engagement, with over 10,000 iOS wallet downloads and $50 million in cumulative trading volume. The project raised $32 million toward a $36 million cap and plans to debut its RTX token on November 24, 2026. The current PayFi testing phase offers an early look at whether stablecoin recipients will adopt this crypto-to-fiat conversion service.
If successful, Remittix could turn a common stablecoin use case into a broader financial service, fostering repeat customers and recurring fees. The project’s ability to combine crypto management and fiat payouts in one platform could position it as a key player in the evolving payments landscape.
