Remixpoint Abandons Altcoin Diversification for Exclusive Bitcoin Holdings
Japanese company Remixpoint recently made significant changes to its cryptocurrency holdings, opting for a more concentrated strategy. The firm previously held a diverse portfolio of altcoins, including XRP, ETH, SOL, and DOGE.
However, after reassessing market risks and volatility tied to holding multiple altcoins, Remixpoint's leadership decided to pursue a selection-and-concentration strategy. This decision led to the liquidation of all altcoin positions in a single trading day on September 1.
The company accumulated a profit of ¥117.77 million ($598,400) from this move and now exclusively holds approximately 1,506 BTC. The firm's leadership framed their decision as pragmatic rather than ideological, citing Bitcoin's ability to generate stable passive income through lending.
Between February and August 2026, Remixpoint's Bitcoin lending program accumulated 14.92 BTC in interest, generating ¥164.21 million ($834,300) without requiring any sale of the underlying asset. The company plans to direct the realized profit toward its core energy business and strengthen its overall financial position.
